The Student Enrollment and Testing Assistant will be responsible for scheduling and conducting student orientations and enrollment sessions at OCCC sites for ESL or HSE classes. The Student Enrollment and Testing Assistant will also be responsible for scheduling, reporting and serving as proctor for student assessment/testing according to federal grant requirements in order to meet state program goals.Reports To Program Manager What position(s) reports to this position?

Schedule and conduct enrollment orientations according to the academic calendar for the adult education department.
Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of student enrollment information to data for processing.
Responsible for processing student drops/transfers/changes to submit to data for processing.
Responsible for contacting students regarding enrollment/drops/transfers/changes for clarification as needed.
Notify students with disabilities requesting accommodation of services.
Notify students qualified for other services based on demographic information regarding access to those services.
Schedule student testing sessions as needed. This position will serve as proctor for testing sessions.
Responsible for scheduling pick-up and drop off of testing material at off-site locations.
Responsible for scoring Best Lit Tests which were proctored by another staff member.Job Duties (Safety / Policy & Procedures)

Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCCs established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation and shelter in place drills and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.Minimum Education/Experience
Successful completion of some college credit courses or currently enrolled in a college or university.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Positive customer service, oral and written communication skills.

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.
2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, colleagues, faculty, and staff to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to frequently remain stationary for extended periods to proctor exams or assist students and perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to occasionally use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to lift materials or equipment.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This positions essential functions are performed in an indoor classroom or office setting.
Experience in student evaluation, assessment and/or testing.
Experience in a higher education environment.
Bilingual or multilingual.
Associate degree.Required Training Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 9 am 2 pm
Monday through Friday, 4 pm 9 pm
Some Saturdays may be required.Department Community Outreach & Education
